Post medieval rectangular double framed buckle
Description
English: A cast copper alloy 16th or 17th century buckle. A rectangular belt buckle or spur buckle consisting of a double frame with central bar. The sides are straight and up to 6mm wide. The pin is missing but it is otherwise complete. The colour is dark green with mid green corrosion. This buckle is dated circa 1570 to 1700. Length 38mm, width 26mm, thickness 3mm. Weight is 8.5g (the object could not be taken out of its card/plastic mount so the weight is approximate).
