English: A Post Medieval silver half groat of Charles 1st circa 1639-40 from the London Tower mint.. The central face is very worn with possible deliberate damage to the bust. The only visible detail is the value of the coin (11) The inscription starts with a triangle mint mark then : CAROLVS * DG * MBF * ET * H * REX The reverse has an oval shield bearing the royal arms and inscription ( ) IVST * ( ) ONVM * FIRMAT (triangle)
