Post medieval double loop trapezoidal buckle front image
Description
English: An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle c.1620-1680 AD. The buckle frame has molded decoration on the loops in the form of ovoid knops on the corners of the frame a looped protrusion on either end of the strap bar. The pin is still in place on the integral strap bar. The buckle is 40.0mm long, 27.8mm wide, 2.6mm thick and weighs 6.7 grams. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead page 83 figure 522.
