Title
Post medieval copper alloy toy musket
Description
English: A very worn and corroded incomplete post medieval copper alloy toy musket. The gun has broken across the barrel and the trigger guard is also missing. The butt end of the musket is fish-tail shaped. There is an open pan on the right side of the barrel above the stump of the trigger guard, and next to it is a square moulded protrusion. The musket is now covered in rough purple corrosion and measures 47.2mm (length) x 12.5mm (width) x 7.3mm (thickness) and weighs 8.51g.

Under Forsyth and Egan's typology, this is a Type 5 musket toy dating from 1600 to 1640 AD (2005, 94ff.)
