Title
Post medieval asymmetrical buckle frame
Description
English: Post Medieval cast copper-alloy asymmetrical buckle frame. The frame has one rectangular and one D shaped loop. Both look to have a groove along the outer edge. At the centre of the D shaped look the inner side projects inwards in a point forming a wider area. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed. There are traces of a white metal, silver or tin, coating on the front. It is 38.1mm long, 28.3mm wide and 2.5mm thick and weighs 6.90grams.

Whitehead (2003:91) illustrates a similar example, no.566, which he dates to c.1575-1700 AD.
