Title
Post Medieval needle
Description
English: A Post Medieval copper alloy needle. The needle is circular in cross-section. It has a long oval eye set within a groove, and a pointed end to facilitate threading. The end is twisted, probably through post-depositional damage. At the opposite end the cross-section changes to a lozenge-shape. Just before the point there is a small oval depression (length 5.93mm) on one surface. The surface has several file marks and a dark green patina. Dimensions: length 143.92mm; diameter 5.30mm; weight 21.93g
