Post Medieval gilt copper-alloy dress pin
Description
English: A complete Post Medieval gilt copper-alloy dress pin dating AD 1500-1600. The head of the pin is spherical and divided into two hemispheres by a filigree median band. The upper and lower hemispheres have three filigree circles inside which is a filigree trefoil knot and small pellet. There are slight vestiges of gilding on the pin head. The pin is circular in cross-section and tapes to a pointed terminal and extends through the head where it is secured by a flattened knop.

The pin measure 46.64mm long. The head is 13.3mm diameter. The pin is 1.8mm diameter, The dress pin weighs 3.42 grams.
