Post Medieval copper alloy asymmetrical buckle
Description
English: A Post Medieval copper alloy asymmetrical buckle dating from 1575 - 1700AD. This buckle has one D-shaped loop and one trapezoidal shaped loop. There are projecting knops at each end of the bar and on the 'corners' or the outer edge of the D-shaped loop. The outer edge of the rectangular loop has been decoratively case to form a beaded edge consisting of seven rounded lobes. The pin is missing and there is a break in the side of the D-shaped loop.
A very similar buckle is recorded on the PAS database SWYOR-FA78C7.

Dimensions: length: 31.71mm; width: 23.20mm; thickness: 2.30mm; weight: 4.93g.
