Post Medieval ceramic tobacco pipe
Description
English: A Post Medieval ceramic clay pipe, dating c. 1580 - 1610. This tobacco pipe has a small, rounded bowl, which has an internal diameter of 7.81mm. The bowl is set at an oblique angle to the stem and it is decorated with a band of rouletted decoration just below the rim. There is a plain, flat, oval foot at the junction between the bowl and the stem. The stem has no distinguishing marks and it broken 25.22mm away from the bowl. The end of the stem is missing.

The dating of the pipe is based on the dating chart in Atkinson & Oswald (1969).

Dimensions: length: 46.48mm; external diameter of the bowl: 13.08mm; weight: 4.37g.
