Title
Post Medieval asymmetrical buckle
Description
English: A Post Medieval copper - alloy asymmetrical buckle frame dating from c. AD 1660 to 1720. In plan, the buckle frame has one rounded end and one straight end. On the front face, at the rounded end is a triangular shaped hollow where the pin would have rested. There is no evidence of drilling on the frame. The frame is undecorated on both sides, and the pin is missing. A similar frame can be seen in Whitehead (2003), number 597, p 197.
