Title
Post Medieval Ceramic Bead
Description
English: A globular ceramic bead of uncertain date. It is sub spherical with a possibly drilled circular central hole which has a diameter of 2mm. The surface is smooth and is a pale buff colour on the surface with a dark grey core. The ends are slightly flatter than the rest of the bead. There are very few ceramic beads recorded on the PAS database and few in reference books. The globular shape of this bead does not help with dating as the shape was used from Roman periods onwards. Other finds from the same area have been mainly Post Medieval to modern, so a late date is tentatively suggested.
