Post Medieval - Shoe Buckle
Description
English: This is a copper alloy fragment of a Georgian shoe buckle from the 18th century. The openwork style dates the buckle to 1760 to 1790. There is a rose at the the central bar hole with openwork and a curved moulded decoration to all sides. The frame is drilled for the bar, now missing.

The fragment has an overall green copper alloy patination.
