Description Greetings from the National Weather Service in Great Falls, Montana!The National Weather Service in Great Falls, Montana is home to some of the nation’s most extreme weather. The Great Falls county warning area extends from the Canadian border to the Wyoming border, and includes Glacier National Park and portions of Yellowstone National Park. The area holds the lowest temperature recorded in the Continental US, -70 degrees at Rogers Pass (1954). The greatest 24-hour temperature change of 103 degrees occurred in Loma, MT when the temperature went from -54 to 49 on January 14-15, 1972. Additionally, Miller Colony experienced a 143 mph wind gust on February 21, 2002.
