English: Post-war prefabs, Downham Estate Nearly 200 of these single-storey prefabricated houses in asbestos cement and timber were erected on the Downham Estate in 1948. They have lasted a lot longer than the 10 years they were designed for, but may be replaced in the next few years. This view is on Baudwin Road. |
