Title |
Post-medieval weight |
||
Description |
English: A cast lead weight, probably post-medieval to modern in date. The weight is broadly cylindrical, having a rectangular base but becoming sub-circular at the top. There is a lateral piercing 4mm in diameter, through which is threaded a loop of twisted iron wire. The wire is much thinner than the piercing (0.1 mm) which may suggest it is a replacement. The object has a white-grey patina.
Width 21mm, height 34.3mm, weight 100.2g. |
