Post-medieval weight: Apothecary's weight
Description
English: A copper alloy apothecary's weight dating to the post-medieval or early modern period. The weight is square with bevelled edges. On each face is engraved the symbol for 1 drachm, the apothecary's unit of meassure, The symbol can be described as 3i. This type of weight would have been issued in a set. They date from around the 18th century, possibly into the 19th century AD.
