Post-medieval unknown object
Description
English: A lead alloy object, possibly two mis-cast agricultural tokens of medieval to post-medieval date (c. AD 1400-1800). The object comprises two uniface discs conjoined by an area of sprue. Fletcher (2005, chapter 11) suggests that tokens could be cast on a small scale using moulds of unfired clay, chalk or pottery. It is possible this object represents a trial casting or an accidental discard. The design on the faces of the tokens is not clear, but resembles Powell Type 9: irregular geometric lines.

Overall length is 31mm, diameter of each disc is 14mm, thickness 3.4mm, weight 12.3g.
