Title
Post-medieval toy
Description
English: Two, flat, unifacial, cast lead alloy fragments of a standing female figure. The first fragment shows the complete lower half of the figure, with feet intact, hem and bottom section of dress. Along the hem edge are a series of small fleurs-de-lis, above which the dress is decorated with a series of dotted lines forming a diamond pattern, which might suggest a quilted dress. In the top centre of this piece is a looped line, which when matched up with second piece suggests an apron. this piece appears to teminate at the figure's waist, around which is a rope like belt.

Fragment 1, Length 28.8, Width 24.7,Thickness 0.6 mm. Fragment 2, Length 25.9, Width 20.9, Thickness 0.6 mm. Similar figurines depicted in Forsyth and Egan (2005, page 156, 4.21-4.22) and classed as Type 3: One-sided flat figures.
