Title |
Post-medieval to Modern : Toy |
||
Description |
English: An incomplete cast lead toy of late post-medieval to modern date. The toy is in the form of a horse which appears to be in a canter or passage with its front legs raised though only short lengths of each of the four legs remain. The bridle wear can be clearly seen across the head of the horse with reigns resting around its neck and a blanket on its back. A small circular indentation is present on the back of the horse which may have been used to hold a separate rider in place. The tail of the horse is also missing. The metal has a mid yellowish-brown colour and is worn. The toy is 40.7mm long, 32mm wide, 9.7mm thick and weighs 44.1g. |
