Post-medieval thimble
Description
English: A complete, copper alloy thimble dating to the late medieval or early post-medieval period (c. AD 1520-1620). 

The thimble has straight sides which taper towards a slightly curved top. There is a small, undecorated band (4.4mm thick) at the rim, with the rest of the outside covered in rectangular indentations. These indentations run in a clockwise spiral that starts at the centre of the top, otherwise described as a right-hand spiral. The thimble is sub-circular in cross-section, with a diameter of 17.88mm at the rim and 12.13mm at the top. It is 19.80mm in height.
