Title
Post-medieval spur fitting
Description
English: A complete, copper alloy hooked fitting for a post-medieval spur (c. AD 1650-1750). The hook would have attached to the figure of eight spur terminal, and the button stud would be secured to a leather strap to hold the spur in place. Cf. BERK-EDAC66.

Nearby finds include a figure of eight spur terminal (DENO-C1028C), and a fragment of a spur including rowel box and side (DENO-BFFD8C), both dating to the same period and possibly comprising pieces of the same spur set.
