Post-medieval spoon |

Description |
English: A fragment of a post-medieval spoon handle in lead alloy. Old breaks on all sides surround a female bust in profile facing left (as viewed), wearing a pearl necklace and flanked on each side by an angel in the act of crowning her, all moulded in low relief. The reverse in plain. The design can be compared with that on a trifid spoon recorded on this database as DOR-E24E80 dated c. AD 1670-1720. |
