Description |
English: An incomplete lead spindle whorl of late medieval to early post-medieval date (c. AD 1400-1750). The spindle whorl is biconical and decorated with irregularly-spaced, radial, overlapping ribs and one raised pellet in each segment. The perforation is 10.86mm in diameter. The spindle whorl is characteristic of the Walton-Rogers C2 type (cf. <a href="https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/986498">NARC-DFC839</a> and <a href="https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/988831">SWYOR-5AB6F4</a>).
