Post-medieval seal matrix
Description
English: A complete, copper alloy quadruple seal matrix dating to the post-medieval period, c. 17th century AD. The seal matrix is cruciform in plan with a central suspension loop. Four undecorated arms extend from this central loop, each starting with a low-relief collar and flaring out to an oval die. Each die is engraved with a different motif contained within a single line border: a lion, a cockerel, a harp, and a swan.
