Title
Post-medieval pipe whistle
Description
English: An incomplete, lead alloy whistle of post-medieval date (c. AD 1800-1900). Similar in form to the common clay pipe, the whistle is circular in plan, with a clear casting seam, hole for the stem (now missing) and an off-centre spur on the base. There is a crack on the edge of the opening.

Half of the whistle (starting from the opening) is undecorated, but the covered half (including spur and stem break) is decorated with evenly-spaced pellets and a scalloped line, with an additional pellet in each arch crease.

Length: 34.17mm, width: 21.46mm, weight: 21.04g.
