Title |
Post-medieval mount |
||
Description |
English: A complete, copper alloy mount, possibly from a piece of furniture or a small sign, dating to the post-medieval period (c. AD 1650-1800). The mount is cast to resemble a barrel with curved outer edges and four raised lines on the face - two above and two below a central, circular knop. On the reverse, four iron rivets (one in each corner) survive. The mount has a patchy green and brown patina. |
