Title
Post-medieval furniture fitting
Description
English: A sub-circular lead disc, dating to the post-medieval period (c. AD 1500-1800). The object comprises a thin, 1.8mm thick, sheet of lead, circular shape with a scalloped edge containing sixteen separate curves. The undecorated side is slightly concave with a number of creases. On the other side are two large stamped letters in the form of capital Es, to one side of a ragged, central perforation. The perforation appears to have originally been two small, circular holes, but the central divide between them has been broken. Possibly a mount or decorative fitting.

Diameter 35.8mm, thickness 1.8mm. weight 14.62g.
