Description |
English: A complete copper alloy dress hook, dating to the post-medieval period, c. AD 1500-1600. The object comprises a cast, flat openwork plate, sub-circular in plan with a rectangular loop above. Two small knobs project from the base of the rectangular attachment loop, where it connects to the sub-circular frame. There is a short, collared backward-pointing hook below. The centre of the plate has a small decorative heart in its centre, held in place with two thin horizontal bars and a short vertical one.
