Post-medieval dress hook: Hooked tag
Description
English: A complete but worn cast copper alloy hooked tag or dress hook, dating to the early post-medieval period. The hooked tag is of Read's (2088) Class E Type 3, having a round body, triangular suspension loop and curved hook. The round body is decorated with moulded relief in the form of a 'Tudor' style rose, which is now quite worn. The hooked tag dates to c. AD 1500-1550.
