Post-medieval copper-alloy button
Description
English: A worn and broken cast copper-alloy button of post-medieval date, dating from the mid 16th to 17th century. The button is globular in shape and the remains of an integrally cast projecting loop emerge from the reverse. This is broken. The button measures 11.74 mm wide and 12.55 mm thick (including the remains of the loop). It weighs 3.9 grams. It has a worn green patina with areas of red to brown.
