Description |
English: An assemblage of six lead bag seals, found close together. Each is comprised of a double disc, folded and stamped, and bearing the device of a bell inside a 'Solomon's seal' frame on one face only. This image comprises an eight pointed star formed by the rotation of two square frames. Superimposed on the bell is the letter B and beneath the design are the words TRADE MARK.
Probably modern date, c. AD 1800-1950 Diameter 20 mm, thickness 4.5 mm. Overall weight 30 g (6). |
