Post-medieval buckle
Description
English: An incomplete, copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date (c. AD 1500-1700). The buckle is a 'spectacle' type, with one of the D-shaped loops broken and partially missing, along with the pin. The remaining loop is very worn, with a slight thickening in the centre of the outer edge of the frame. On the top of the frame there is a small rounded knop. The reverse is flat, and both sides are undecorated and D-shaped in section.

Length 35.6mm, width 29.2mm, thickness 2.1mm. weight 3.69mm. Cf. Whitehead, 1996: p. 55, no. 313.
