Title
Post-medieval buckle: Spectacle buckle
Description
English: A small copper alloy moulded double looped, or spectacle buckle, dating from the late medieval to post-medieval period (c. AD 1450 - 1600). The buckle has moulded linear ribs on the outer loops and a constricted pin bar. There is iron staining around this central bar, indicating that the pin (now lost) was originally of iron.
