Title
Post-medieval bell
Description
English: An incomplete, copper alloy crotal bell of post-medieval date (c.AD 1550-1750). The object comprises two hemispheres divided by a raised horizontal circumferential rib. There are two sound holes, one larger, on either side of the integral suspension loop. The loop is rounded and projects from the upper hemisphere of the bell, with the small aperture appearing to be drilled. The lower hemisphere is composed of two circular sound holes close to the ridge between which is a rectangular sound slot, now missing, as is part of the lower section of the bell. The object retains some linear decoration running from the remaining edge of the sound slot.

Height: 34.3mm, width: 28.1mm, weight: 25.3g.
