Post-medieval bell
Description
English: A complete post medieval copper-alloy spherical "crotal" or "rumbler" bell (AD 1600-1800). The bell was cast in one piece, using two opposing moulds, which have left a prominent casting seam around the centre.The body of the bell is spherical in shape, with an integral sub rectangular suspension loop attached to the top. The aperture is large and rounded. The bell has no decorated on either hemisphere. The 'pea' is still present inside the bell. Measurements: length 30.0mm, width 28.0mm, weight 23.8g.
