Title |
Post-medieval barrel tap |
||
Description |
English: An incomplete, cast copper alloy barrel tap of late post-medieval to modern date (c. AD 1700 - 1900). The spigot, which would have been inserted in to the barrel, is broken part way along its length. The spout is intact and hexagonal in shape. Above the end of the spout is a small projection, on which a container can be hung. The tap is T-shaped, with trunnion-shaped ends.
