Post-medieval Double-loop asymmetrical buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy Double-loop asymmetrical buckle of suggested late 16th to late 17th/early 18th century date (Whitehead, 1996, p. 91).

The frame is roughly D-shaped but has one convex outer edge and one scalloped edge. The frame is bent upwards either side of the circular-sectioned axis bar. The buckle has traces of a white metal coating.

The bckle measures 22mm long, 16mm wide and 2.8mm thick. It weighs 1.82g.
