Post-Medieval double loop asymmetrical buckle.
Description
English: Cast Post-Medieval copper-alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle; circa 1575-1700 AD date. (For similar example, see R. Whitehead, 1996, Buckles 1250-1800, p. 91, No. 572.) The rectangular loop has trefoil shaped outer edge, while the rounded end has a slight swelling on the outer edge. The frame is otherwise undecorated. The axis bar is narrowed, and the pin is missing. The underside of the buckle is flat. The object measures 18.5mm long, 14.2mm wide and 1.6mm thick. It weighs 1.19g.
