Post-Medieval double loop asymmetrical buckle.
Description
English: Cast Post-Medieval copper-alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle; circa 1575-1700 AD date. (For similar example, see R. Whitehead, 1996, Buckles 1250-1800, p. 90, No. 561.) The frame has bevelled inside and outer edges. The axis bar is narrowed, and the pin is missing. The underside of the buckle is flat. The object measures 24.9mm long, 17.7mm wide, and 2mm thick. It weighs 2.29g.
