Post-Medieval double-loop asymmetrical buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy double-loop asymmetrical buckle of suggested late 16th to late 17th/early 18th century date (cf. Whitehead 1996: 92).

One side of the frame is trapezoidal in plan, the other is 'D-shaped' and has a two-tiered outward projection at its centre. The central axis bar is of semi-circular section, has a short projection at each end and attached iron corrosion from the otherwise missing axis bar. The buckle is bent upwards either side of the axis bar.

The object measures 23.7mm long, 13.1mm wide and 1.7mm thick. The weight is 1.33g.
