Title
Post-Medieval button or cloak fastener
Description
English: Copper alloy button or cloak fastener. Cast discoid lightly concavo-convex front with a central boss in the back, now encrusted, possibly as a result of burning. The front appears to bear the image of a quadruped leaping leftwards, probably in heraldic style comparable to that of a livery button. The front is also crazed and its design obscured by intense heat. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1750-1850

Diameter: 27.9mm, Thickness (overall): 5.8mm, Weight: 8.28gms

Depicted place (County of findspot) Lincolnshire
