Title
Post-Medieval asymmetrical buckle (incomplete)
Description
English: Part of an asymmetrical buckle of post-Medieval date.

The buckle would originally have had a trapezoidal half and a D-shaped half. The vertical side of the trapezoidal half survives but the inner bar is missing. Only a remnant of the curved outer side of the buckle survives. The upper surface of the buckle bears numerous punched ring-and-dot marks, interspersed with punched curves and short grooves. At the centre of the buckle’s surviving long horizontal side is a rounded lobe bearing a punched ring mark.

The object measures 33.1mm long, 35mm wide and 2.9mm thick. The weight is 5.04g.
