Post-Medieval Bodkin Pin
Description
English: Copper alloy possible pin. Sheet metal strip with a waisted rounded end with a sub-rectangular aperture and a long thin longitudinal slot. The other end bears a looped housing for a pin, probably brazed in position. The form resembles that of bodkin pins, though this example may have had a hinged pin at its end. Now bent. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600.

Length (as found): 43.6mm, Width: 7mm, Thickness: 0.8mm, Weight: 3.08gms.
