Post-Medieval 'Seal Top' Spoon
Description
English: An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy (latten) spoon (1550-1650).

The bowl and part of the stem are missing.

The knop is of the seal top type and has a flat top with a diameter of 11.2mm. There is no evidence of pricked initials on the top. Below the top it is in baluster form:

constriction/ball/constriction/collar.

The stem is flattened-oval in cross-section and has an old transverse break.

This spoon is corroded overall.

Height (if straightened): c. 85.5mm; diameter of sealtop: 11.2mm; width of stem: 5.0mm; thickness of stem: 3.6mm. Weight: 8.45g.
