Title
Possible Roman needle
Description
English: A possibly Roman netting needle, incomplete due to old breaks but similar in form to an example from Colchester (Crummy 1983, 66-67, fig 70, no 1996). It has a roughly circular sectioned shaft both ends of which are incomplete, one end splits into two incomplete forked prongs, if this object is a netting needle it would have had forked prongs at both ends originally. It measures 49.99mm in surviving length and 3.58mm in width across the shaft and 7.60mm in width across the forked prongs.
