Title
Possible Ear Ring from Wickenby
Description
English: Copper alloy

Sheet metal, tear-drop shaped with two sharp points at its narrow end. The finder suggests this may be from an ear-ring - if so, its suspension loop and pin are lost. It is uncertain whether green patches on one flat side are relicts of patina fortuitously preserved, or remains of a painted or enamelled floral design. Suggested date: Modern, 1800-1900.

Length: 34.6mm, Width: 21.4mm, Thickness: 0.60mm, Weight: 2.27gms.
