Deutsch: Vorderseite: ΠΟΣ [retrograd]. Poseidon nackt und in Schrittstellung nach r. In der erhobenen r. Hand hält er einen Dreizack, der hinter seinem Kopf entlang geführt ist. Über seinen Schultern liegt ein Mantel. Sogenannter laufender Hund als Rand.
Rückseite: ΠΟΣ [retrograd]. Dasselbe Bild wie auf der Vorderseite, nun in Rückenansicht und entsprechend nach l. Der Dreizack aber wieder hinter dem Kopf. Das Ganze vertieft (inkus). Fischgrätmuster als Rand. Kommentar: Diese inkuse Prägung Poseidonias zeigt eine besondere Auffassung der Münze als Bildträger. Während die inkusen Münzen sonst immer das Vorderseitenbild auf der Rückseite vertieft und seitenverkehrt wiederholen, wird hier offensichtlich tatsächlich die andere Seite des Vorderseitenbildes gezeigt. Erkennbar ist das am Mantel, der auf der Rückseite den Körper bedeckt, es ist also der Rücken zu sehen. Nur der Dreizack wird wiederum hinter dem Kopf geführt, um eine Überschneidung des Gesichtes zu vermeiden. Literatur: Friedländer - von Sallet Nr. 659 (dieses Stück); C. M.
