English: Portrait of an unknown Catholic Noblewoman with the Order of the Starry Cross, misidentified with Carlota Joaquina of Spain (1775-1830).
Deutsch: "klassizistisches Brustbildnis einer jungen Frau mit üppiger, gepuderter Perücke und Perlenkette mit Medaillon über tief ausgeschnittenem Dekolleté, auf der rechten Seite trägt die Dargestellte den Sternkreuzorden (Ordo Stellatae Crucis) am schwarzen Band, der 1668 von Kaiserin Eleonore Magdalena Gonzaga (1628 Mantua bis 1686 Wien), der dritten Ehefrau des österreichischen Kaisers Ferdinand III. gestiftete ”Hochadelige Frauenzimmer-Sternkreuzorden” war lediglich Damen des Hochadels vorbehalten und verpflichtete die Trägerin zu tugendhaftem Leben, strenger Religiosität und tätiger Barmherzigkeit, 1688 erhob Eleonore Magdalene von Pfalz-Neuburg (1655 Düsseldorf bis 1720 Wien) als Gemahlin des Habsburger Kaisers Leopold I. den Orden zum höchsten Damenorden, die Aufnahme in den Orden entsprach dem männlichen Ehrentitel eines Kämmerers, eventuell handelt es sich bei dem hier vorliegenden Portrait um ein Bildnis der spanischen Prinzessin und Königin von Portugal und Brasilien Charlotte Joachime von Spanien (1775 Aranjuez bis 1830 Queluz), feine Pastellzeichnung auf Bütten, um 1790, unsigniert, geringe Altersspuren, hinter Glas und ovalem Bildausschnitt im Goldstuckrahmen (def.) gerahmt, Bildausschnitt ca. 52 x 41,5 cm."
