English: Portrait of Pierre-Joseph Redouté and his daughter Marie-Louise. The famous flower painter Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759-1840) is seen here with his second daughter Marie-Louise called Adelaide, born in 1792. Herself a talented painter, she was her father's favourite pupil. The scene is most probably located in the gardens of the Museum of Natural History in Paris, in front of Buffon's house, which still exists, although modified.
