Photograph of a portrait of Mrs. Scott (Mrs. Rosmeyer?), a Christian Indian (Yuma?) woman educated by the white man, ca.1900. She can be seen sitting in a rough wooden chair outside. She wears a short dark coat or cape with elaborate stitching over a long, plain dress. She has a knitted shawl over her head and around her neck. Her hands can be seen grasping the handle of a cane in front of her.
